Jack & Lydia's

Some wedding days simply radiate happiness from beginning to end, and this beautiful Canterbury wedding was one of those unforgettable occasions. Filled with love, emotion, laughter and celebration, every moment felt incredibly special.

The day began with meeting Jack (the groom) and his groomsmen at the hotel to take some groom prep picture. We took a wonderful stroll through Solly's Orchard on our way to the Cathedral and it was just the perfect start to the day.

The ceremony itself was breathtaking. The wedding itself took place in the crypt at Canterbury Cathedral. There was an overwhelming sense of joy throughout the ceremony, with heartfelt smiles and genuine emotion shared by everyone present & my goodness the cathedral felt alive with EVERYONE sining.

Following the ceremony, guests enjoyed canapés and drinks while taking in the atmosphere and celebrating with each other.

We then moved onto the Cathedral Lodge for a fab afternoon tea reception followed by some incredibly emotional speeches. The atmosphere was warm, intimate and filled with laughter as everyone celebrated together.

As the afternoon transitioned into evening, guests returned to their rooms to change into black-tie attire, adding an extra touch of glamour to the celebrations. Meanwhile, we took advantage of the beautiful grounds for the couple’s portrait session. The golden evening light created the perfect light for some gorgeous pictures. These quieter moments gave the couple a chance to pause, soak everything in and enjoy a few moments together away from the excitement of the day.

The celebrations continued with an elegant drinks reception overlooking the catherdral. As the sun began to set, guests mingled amongst lots of bubbles with drinks in hand, enjoying the spectacular views.

Dinner was served back in Cathedral Lodge, with heartfelt speeches from the best man and the maid of honour.. The love and support surrounding the couple was evident throughout the evening, creating an atmosphere that felt both joyful and deeply meaningful.

As the formalities came to an end, the dance floor quickly filled and the celebrations continued long into the night.

It was an absolute privilege to capture this incredible wedding day. From the grandeur of Canterbury Cathedral to the elegance of the castle grounds and the unforgettable celebrations in the Cathedral Lodge. Every part of the day was filled with emotion and genuine happiness.
